“Flower and Bird” is a distinctive category in Chinese brush painting, and is predominantly popular in the Lingnam School of Painting. This gallery attempts to pay homage to the Lingnam School. I combine the western watercolor technique with eastern brushwork in rendering these paintings. I also play with the background and added soft-edged features to enhance the main subjects.
